Gardens: Wicklow has many famous gardens including Powerscourt House (47 acres of landscaped gardens) and the National Garden Exhibition.

Angling: The Avonmore river is a lovely wide river with deep pools which flows through the stunning Vale of Clara, one of the most beautiful wooded valleys in Ireland. The river holds a good stock of brown trout. The lower reaches of the Avonmore from clara vale to the meetings of
the waters are club-controlled by the Rathdrum Trout Angling Club. Day Tickets are available from Stirabout Lane.

The Avonmore river

"Angling for All" in Aughrim village offers all year round angling facilities and wildlife park, with over 4 acres of fully stocked game fishing. Also Annamoe Trout farm is open from May to September.

Golf: Stirabout lane is close to many well-known Golf Courses, which include the following: Druid's Glen, Woodenbridge, Glenmalure and Coollattin.

Historical houses: Russborough House (1741). Avondale house, set in an estate of 500 acres of forest and parkland is now a museum to the memory of Charles Stewart Parnell (1779)

County Wicklow: "The Garden of Ireland" is steeped in history and scenic beauty. The National Park includes "Glendalough" and its monastic settlements. It has hundreds of hectares which include large areas of mountain blanket bog and varied forms of wildlife, from rare orchids to Peregrine Falcon.

Ballykissangel: Avoca village is the location of this very popular TV series. The village set includes the church of Saints Mary and Patrick, built in 1862, and "Fitzgeralds" the local watering hole. The Wicklow Way

Walking:The Wicklow Way has a variety of walks to suit all walkers. Starting from the foothills of the south Dublin mountains through the glens of "Glendalough" to the dramatic mountains of Aghavannagh.

Beaches:Only 15 minutes away is the famous sea side resort of Brittas Bay, Renowned for it's unspoiled long sandy dunes.
